A new venture – what am I going to be writing about?

Many years ago I brought together quite a nice, receptive group of people who were open to accepting occasional poems. I presented these as a remedy for the fast-paced life that we endure normally, and I called the group the SLOW POETRY ZONE, reminding people at each issue to read the poems SLOWLY.

Each time I sent something out I thought of the person I was sending it to as I pushed the send button – each email went out separately.

While this might have been great for keeping things close and personal, it was, of course, not a formula for success beyond a certain size. In the end, as others wanted to join and as I couldn’t bring myself to use a system which always seemed to be linked with the evil machinations of google, I dropped it and the Slow Poetry Zone ceased to exist.

Well, now I’m starting something similar again. Substack seems a good way to do things, and I’ve been coached by a few writers to whom I subscribe who send their work out on this format themselves. I’ve already resolved that anything I write will be free, but there is the “paid subscription” button also so that anyone who wants can make a gift – if they have been blown away by a poem or article, for example, and feel like giving something back for that.

But this won’t be a repeat of the Slow Poetry Zone. I still write poetry, of course, and it is likely that within the articles occasional poems will appear, for I believe that a good poem is like an elixir into which has been distilled the essence of a subject so that truth can be stated in a few words that would otherwise take more words to say in an article.

So if you are going to follow this, you can expect that there will be some occasional poems – but not that many - and writing on - what topic … ?

People who know me know I am very interested in two main themes – I am a seeker of truth in what can be loosely called the political realm and I am a seeker for the spirit in what can be called the spiritual realm. I have a particular connection of more than 45 years to Rudolf Steiner and have recently formed a link to the initiatives of Jesaiah Ben Aharon who has developed a clairvoyant vision that allows him to communicate matters that Steiner did not speak of because they have taken place since Steiner’s death.

My rigour in the search for political truth has meant that many of the old Steiner acquaintances got put off (I mean especially those who could not separate truth from propaganda in the matter of the covid plandemic) and I’ve recently had the distinction of being forbidden to use the rooms of the Auckland Anthroposophical Society for a weekly group that I am launching because my ideas unsettle its politically-correct gatekeepers.

So … seeing the truth of what is happening in the world and bringing this together with spiritual truth is probably what anyone who reads my articles (with occasional poems) will get. I hope you will be tempted to give it a try.

I feel strongly that at this moment, when the mainstream press is repeating 95% lies regarding the really important questions of life, platforms such as this are of vital importance because they are beginning to create the new media culture that will kick in properly when the corruption of the old legacy media is revealed and it dies properly. This may be just me bashing away on my laptop, but it is also a little beginning in the new spiritual-cultural life that humanity is moving towards. I don’t think I’m particularly vain, and yet I do believe that my spiritual activity – along with that of so many others – is of real importance right now. At such a key time in humanity’s spiritual evolution, we need to encourage each other.

Feel the excitement, then, of what is ahead of us, for all that we can do out of freedom and genuine individual integrity will be of vital importance in the years to come! According to Ben Aharon, we have until 2030 to create a resonance on the earth that will allow the great Archangel Micha-el to draw close to us as he has done at other times in history and bring about a new impulse that will carry humanity out of the abyss that we are presently stuck in. This new activity of Micha-el will bring us into the very great future that is ahead of us if we can only get past the dangers of the present time. 

I hope this serves as a useful introduction to the activity that is about to unfold on this space, and I hope some of you who read this will consider receiving my humble articles regularly as they are written.

Remember, they will always be free and there is no obligation to read each one.

And a final promise – there may be a bit of verse, but not too much. Do not be frightened off by that!
